July makes me think about vacation...pt 1

Part 1 of hopefully not too many:) I went to Arizona with my cousin a few years back and lets just say, I took a lot of pictures.This was my first chance to take some really cool shots in a really cool part of the country. We have family out there, so we got to drive around with the locals. We didn't get to see everything we wanted to see, but that just gives me a reason to go back! I had a huge plan with these photos and videos from this trip. I wanted to create this cool video about the trip. Who knows, maybe I will still make it! But for now, why don't we enjoy some of the photos I took.

What a great way to bring in 2020

I know it’s cliché, but self reflection is important 😁 New Years resolution Get ready for the long New Years post about how to be a better person- new year new me, am I right? Just kidding, it’s not that, but kinda? Well the past year I have been trying to better myself in so many different ways. I’m trying to be a better sister, a better daughter, a better partner, or just a better human in general. I’ve created this list of things I’ve been doing- that I think makes this life a little more bearable. Some of these things I have paid more attention to in the last year and some of these things I need to work on more. Overall, I think if we can just take the time to be more mindful and selfless, life maybe won’t suck as bad    as it does for some of us. Louisville flood of 2018

For the past few days, we have been under a Flash Flood Warning. The Ohio River has been rising. This is not an unusual thing that happens in Louisville because the river tends to overflow. However, they are calling this the worst flood Louisville has seen in over 20 years. With the rain that we got Saturday, 2/24/2018, the river rose 20 feet above normal levels. I was able to go out and see the damage. Now I do not remember the flood of 97 because I was 3 years old, but what I saw was pretty devastating . People's homes were engulfed in water, their back yards covered. Some houses are on high rises, so they are semi-prepared for this. However, if they were in their homes, they had to have been stranded. There was no way they could get out unless it was by boat. The photos below were taken with my phone, because I did not plan on going out. Nevertheless, I am glad I did.
