Lake life is the best life

...and I'm here to tell you why!

You can leave all your worries at home
The stars... omg, the stars!!!
Don't forget about the sunsets!!!
If you aren't hung over or you've been up all night, you'll be blown away at the sunrise too!
You can drink on a weekday without judgement!
The stillness of the water late at night
Bonfires....DUH!
Boat rides
...and if you're brave enough you can let my step dad take you tubing
You are one with nature, in the best way possible
Golf cart rides
Fireworks even when it's not 4th of July
It's only a hour and a half away! ROAD TRIP!
Home cooked meals EVERY day
Plus food just tastes better at the lake
You'll want to live there after retirement
Even in the winter, it's the most beautiful!
The best place possible to get your photography on!
In the Fall they drain the lake, so you can go exploring for those sun glasses you lost when you jumped in the water
...and you'll probably find some other cool things too.
Everyone at the lake is friendly AF
You can listen to the birds while you're relaxing in the hammock
You basically live outside on the deck or around the fire (don't forget bug spray)
Loud music
You're friends and family will never want to leave
It's probably going to be the best time you've ever had (just sayin')
Pet friendly
So much exploring!
Most of the time you won't have service or WiFi, but I wouldn't consider that a bad thing
Tying up with friends in a cove to go swimming
Rock jumping
You'll never forget the memories you make there
No sharks, but there may be some weird fish thing nibble at your toes

Bad things:
You will get sunburned
The weekend will be over before you know it

I asked a friend why she thought lake life was the best life and she said, "There's a sign that's old and hanging by a thread, all weathered and rusty, it's an upside down bicycle sign... it's about 6 minutes from my house. At that point... that's when I turn my brain off. That's when 'lake time' starts. On the way there is when I do my best thinking. I've made some of the hardest and best decisions on the way to the lake. But once I see that sign, life gets put on hold for 3 days and my soul feels free. Everything gets left at that damn upside down bicycle sign." -Toni Neal <3

Need I say more????
